Description of Services

I received my license in September, 2003 and formed my company in November, 2003. It is a single inspector firm, as are about 85% of all inspections companies in the US. We are fully insured with both E&O insurnace as well as General Liability. We perform inspections in Kane, Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry, Will and DeKalb Counties. The company is active in the real estate community and is an affiliate member of the Realtors Association of the Fox Valley. Besides inspecting homes, we do our best to educate the home buyer about their new home. Our company motto is: "We inspect every home as if we were buying it." and we do our best to live up to that motto at every inspection.

Services & Areas of Expertise

I offer pre-purchase and pre-sales home inspections as well as consultation services. With every pre-purchase home inspection, we also offer RecallChek, which checks the major appliances against the CPSC website for existing recalls. I also offer inspections services for small commercial properties, up to 20,000 SF and apartment buildings of 5 units and larger. I also preform swimming pool and spa inspections.

Education & Credentials

My educational background includes a B.S.M.E. from University of Illinois. I am a former Registered Professional Engineer in IL from 1975 to 2005. In 2003, I took my pre-licensing education at Harper College in Palatine, IL. Since then I have continued my education with well over 200 hours in various areas of home inspection. I am a Member of the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) as well as the IL Chapter of NAHI, where I serve on the Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer.
